Booking an Appointment
Below is an overview of how to schedule aconsult or intake appointment. If you have any questions or need clarification on something prior to booking, please send me an email.
I'm honoured that you're considering me to come into your world and to work with you. The free consult appointment is a great way for us to go over what support you're looking for right now and your hopes from counselling; for you to ask me any questions you have about therapy or the process; and for both of us to get a sense of whether myself and my services may be a good fit for you. Prior to our appointment, I will send you a What to Expect from the Consult Appointment document to help you best prepare for it.
There is no obligation to work with me or to book an intake appointment at the time of, or after, this call. You can take your time to think about it and reach out to book an intake session if you do decide you'd like to work together, whenever you're ready.
The Appointment: The initial 15 minute consult is done over the phone.
To Book: You just need to send me an email. Please review my general availability and let me know some preferred days and times.
During our first session, we will go into more detail about where you are at and what you would like to be different. I will ask you questions so I can better understand you and your present situation: a bit about your personal and mental health history; your current support system; and what has and hasn't been helpful. We will then review your needs and goals and collaborate on an initial counselling plan. Prior to this first appointment, I will send you an intake questionnaire and consent forms, all which we will go over as well together, and I will also send you a Suggested Ways to Prepare for Sessions and Therapy document.
The Appointment: The 60 minute appointment is a virtual appointment.
To Book: If we've had our consult call, and you've decided you'd like to work together, you can send me an email and we will arrange a time for our intake session.
